DOJ has been investigating the FBI for 11 months

Attorney General Jeff Sessions, FBI Spox and Office of DOJ Inspector General Release Statements

(L-R) Attorney General Jeff Sessions – FBI Director Christopher Wray

Did you know the DOJ has been investigating the FBI for 11 months…. wait, what?

Hold-up on the criticism folks.  Three important statements today from the DOJ, FBI and OIG indicate there have been ongoing investigations and reviews of conduct within the upper tiers of leadership within the Department of Justice and the FBI.

Given the nature of the leaked IG investigation to the Washington Post and New York times; surrounding apex investigator and deputy head of counterintelligence at the FBI Peter Strzok; and accepting the direct approach of President Trump in his tweets toward that revelation; and adding the layer of Intel Chairman Devin Nunes threatening to file ‘contempt of congress charges‘; there is every indication something is about to break – very soon.

“[The allegations] if proven to be true, would raise serious questions of public trust. I look forward to receiving the Inspector General’s report. We will ensure that anyone who works on any investigation in the Department of Justice does so objectively and free from bias or favoritism.”

“My job is to restore confidence in the Department of Justice in all aspects of our work and I intend to do so. As such, I have directed that the FBI Director review the information available on this and other matters and promptly make any necessary changes to his management and investigative teams consistent with the highest professional standards.”

~ Attorney General Jeff Sessions

“When the FBI first learned of the allegations, the employees involved were immediately reassigned, consistent with practices involving employee matters.”

~ FBI Spokesperson

Here’s the critical OIG statement:

“The January 2017 statement issued by the Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General (OIG) announcing its review of allegations regarding various actions of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in advance of the 2016 election stated that the OIG review would, among other things, consider whether certain underlying investigative decisions were based on improper considerations and that we also would include issues that might arise during the course of the review.

The OIG has been reviewing allegations involving communications between certain individuals, and will report its findings regarding those allegations promptly upon completion of the review of them.”

~ Justice Department Office of the Inspector General

What the OIG statement is saying is that for 11 months the Dept of Justice OIG office has been investigating the politicization within the DOJ and FBI and deciding if the actions, or lack of action, was driven by the political ideology of the participants therein.

I was not aware this investigation was taking place, were you?

Apparently the DOJ-OIG is close to “reporting its findings.

It would be prudent to withhold negative opinion of AG Sessions and FBI Director Wray until we can see the outcome of the Inspector General findings – which will, given the duration of the investigation, likely be a very lengthy and extensive report.

All of a sudden the recent FBI leaks to the Washington Post and New York Times make more sense.  All of the embedded political agents within the DOJ and FBI are quite possibly about to be exposed.  This would explains a lot of the current activity and visible angst from within the participants of the professional administrative state.

This year-long OIG investigation could possibly explain a great deal of the current headlines on all sides of the DC spectrum.  The black hats are on the cusp of being exposed

Smoke em’ if you got em’… this is about to get REALLY INTERESTING.

Video: Judge Napolitano: Mueller 'Putting the Squeeze' on Flynn, Manafort to Get to Trump

Editor's Note: "Is Mueller Playing Dirty?" Duh, ya think? The amazing thing is Judge Nap confirms they are not supposed to be doing any of this. If you or I did it we'd be prosecuted. But if it's the gubermint, it's business as usual. It's how federal prosecutors operate . . . SICKENING!

Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn reportedly is concerned about his son’s potential legal exposure in the ongoing investigation into Russia’s ties to the 2016 election.

Michael Flynn Jr. served as his father's chief of staff and top aide. He was actively involved in his father's consulting and lobbying work at their firm, Flynn Intel Group, including joining his father on a trip to Moscow in December 2015.

This comes after reports that Justice Department prosecutors are trying to secure a plea deal with Paul Manafort’s former son-in-law, Jeffrey Yohai, in an investigation into potentially shady real estate dealings

Judge Andrew Napolitano said Special Counsel Robert Mueller is using the standard tactics of federal prosecutors and "putting the squeeze" on subjects to get information in his Russia probe.

Video: Rep. Gaetz: 'We Are at Risk of a Coup d'Etat in This Country' Unless Mueller Resigns or is Fired

House Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) called on Special Counsel Robert Mueller -- who is investigating alleged Russian collusion with the Trump 2016 campaign -- to resign because there is an apparent conflict of interest involving Mueller and an alleged campaign to undermine the president and force him from office.

Rep. Gaetz also called for a special prosecutor to investigate the Uranium One scandal, the Clinton Foundation, and the Fusion GPS firm, which produced the "Russian dossier" alleging Trump-Russia collusion and which was paid by Obama for America's law firm, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign.

Special Counsel Mueller's investigation is, in part, based on the Fusion GPS-provided "dossier."

Senate Launches Probe Into Russian Nuclear Bribery Case That Netted Clintons Millions

As the media continues to lose their collective minds over $100,000 worth of Facebook ads allegedly purchased by Russians during the 2016 election, the Senate Judiciary Committee has finally decided they're going to take a look into a shady Russian deal that handed Putin 20% of America's uranium reserves, was approved by the Obama administration during an ongoing FBI investigation into charges of bribery, extortion and money laundering by the Russian buyer and netted the Clintons millions of dollars in donations and 'speaking fees."  Here's more from The Hill:

The Senate Judiciary Committee has launched a full-scale probe into a Russian nuclear bribery case, demanding several federal agencies disclose whether they knew the FBI had uncovered the corruption before the Obama administration in 2010 approved a controversial uranium deal with Moscow.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the committee chairman, gets his first chance to raise the issue in public on Wednesday when he questions Attorney General Jeff Sessions during an oversight hearing.

Though the hearing was scheduled for other purposes, aides said they expected Grassley to ask Sessions questions about a story published in The Hill on Tuesday that disclosed the FBI had uncovered evidence showing Russian nuclear officials were engaged in a racketeering scheme involving bribes, kickbacks and money laundering designed to expand Russian President Vladimir Putin's atomic energy business on U.S. soil.

"It has recently come to the Committee’s attention that employees of Rosatom were involved in a criminal enterprise involving a conspiracy to commit extortion and money laundering during the time of the CFIUS transaction," Grassley wrote in one such letter addressed to Sessions.

"The fact that Rosatom subsidiaries in the United States were under criminal investigation as a result of a U.S. intelligence operation apparently around the time CFIUS approved the Uranium One/Rosatom transaction raises questions about whether that information factored into CFIUS’ decision to approve the transaction," the chairman added.

Video: Gregg Jarrett: Mueller & Rosenstein Hid Clinton Russian Bribery From Congress

MUST RESIGN

Attorney: Mueller Hid Russian Bribery Scandal From Congress; Must Resign Now. “It totally comprises their integrity”

Attorney Gregg Jarrett is calling on Robert Mueller and Rod Rosenstein to resign from the investigation into Russian collusion with the Trump administration having themselves been complicit in Russian collusion by approving the sale of 20% of US uranium reserves to Russia.

Mueller and Rosenstein were on the CFIUS committee that approved the sale despite knowing that, as The Hill reported, “Russian nuclear officials were engaged in a racketeering scheme involving bribes, kickbacks and money laundering,” that also ensnared the Clinton Foundation.

Hillary was also on the committee that rubber stamped the deal while her husband was receiving huge speaking fees from Russian officials as millions in “charitable donations” poured into the coffers of the Clinton Foundation from Russia.
