Auden Cabello, a Texas-based immigration reporter who lived in Mexico for many years, believes many hundreds of thousands of migrants are bottlenecked between Guatemala and the U.S., most of whom are determined to continue traveling north.

“I’ve looked at the numbers from IOM (UN International Organization for Migration) and different statistics from Mexican immigration, and I’ve estimated that there are approximately a million migrants just in Mexico alone. Tapachula is still receiving up to a thousand daily,” Cabello told immigration news outlet Border Hawk in a recent interview.

“I think it’s just a matter of time before they decide they’re running out of time and say, ‘You know what? We can’t wait on CBP One. We’ve gotta rush the border and cross before Trump gets in.’”

A federal judge has struck down a Biden administration program for illegal aliens who are married to US citizens. In a three-paragraph decision, Federal District Judge for the Eastern District of Texas J. Campbell Barker (a Trump appointee, and yes, that does make a difference) ruled that the program the administration rolled out in June 2024 "lack statutory authority under 8 U. S. Arizona saw a 734 percent increase in the number of illegal immigrants residing in the state, while Nevada experienced a jump of 562 percent. Biden beat Trump in Arizona by less than 11,000 votes.
