At a House Science Committee hearing on California's CARB train emissions reductions rule on Thursday, Rep. Rich McCormick (R-GA) grilled Alan Abbs, Legislative Officer of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, about climate.
In the deserts of north America something incredible is happening, these arid lands are turning into lush green wetlands and its all because of a very secretive creature who only comes out at night and the results are surprising everyone! Determined, relentless and even stubborn are words commonly used to describe one natures hardest workers, they work tirelessly through the night, night after night, while most people are asleep... I'm talking about beavers of course :) and despite their controversial and complex relationship with man in the past, there are a growing number in the science world who are coming to the realization that beavers could actually be a friend and not foe, who can help us win the fight to save the environment.
In this video we will show you how beavers have saved desert rivers over the course of 12 years, and the landscapes beavers create that can help to fight wildfires, reduce drought and reverse declining fish numbers we are going to look at two case studies of beavers effects on rivers in two completely different desert regions of north America, one in a northern cold and dry desert zone in Oregon and the other in the hotter and even drier southern desert in Nevada.
Microplastics have been discovered in the semen of all the participants in a new study.
Microplastics were first discovered in semen samples last year, but the new study, conducted in China, raises the possibility that a significant proportion of the male population, perhaps even all men, may have microplastics in their semen.
A Lithium Ion battery storage facility in downtown San Diego went ablaze last week, causing an evacuation warning for businesses and homes in the area and the nearby state prison.
On May 15th, the Gateway Energy Storage Facility in Otay Mesa erupted into flames. It took firefighters 24 hours to “extinguish” the blaze. Only it wasn’t extinguished. It’s still on fire more than a week later and might continue for weeks. The fire has re-ignited for eight days so far and is not nearly extinguishing.
It’s not easy to put out, and it spews dangerous gases into the air. Gov. Gavin Newsom okays building them near homes, businesses, and schools.
Buying and selling carbon credits has become a great way for companies to signal their commitment to the environment, allowing them to keep polluting while also earning a profit on trading carbon credits.
If you pay a poor country not to cut down their forests, you can earn a lot of carbon credits. These credits can then be used to burn coal and produce more emissions. Whether the country actually planned to cut down the forest is irrelevant. Investigators have found that at least part of the carbon-neutral claims by airlines are backed by credits earned from preventing deforestation of forests that were never under threat.
The goal of most participants in the climate farce is not effectiveness. By writing a check, they can claim they just “saved” the world. Moreover, the amount of carbon credits they earn is not based on the money they spent, but on an estimate of how much pollution they supposedly averted.
Ranchers in Texas have raised the alarm that their cattle, fish and horses are getting sick and even dying due to the spread of fertilizer from a nearby farmland.
A criminal investigation launched by Johnson County officials traced the source of the runoff to large mounds of fertilizer made from treated human waste from Fort Worth.
Detective Dana Ames reports she learned the fertilizer is made from biosolids from human waste and is consequently loaded in PFAS, also known as “forever chemicals.”
“We are nervous, and we are scared,” said Grandview Rancher Tony Coleman to WFAA. “You have your whole livelihood taken from you.”
“This stuff should be banned all across America … I mean, what are our children going to do? You are ruining their land. You are ruining their water source… This has to stop.”
During a news conference in Edmonton, Canada, Todd Loewen, Alberta minister of forestry and parks provided information on the wildfire situation in the province, stating that humans setting fires are to blame.
Dr. Jordan B. Peterson sits down with industry consultant, science activist, and past president of Greenpeace Canada (1971 to 1986), Dr. Patrick Moore. They discuss his time in Greenpeace, the historic timeline of global ice ages and climate change, the clear lies being peddled to promote alarmism, and how the woke left manipulates science (and scientists) to promote a falsely perceived and politically incentivized future catastrophe.
Dr. Patrick Moore has been a leader in the international environmental field for more than 45 years. He is a co-founder of Greenpeace and served for nine years as President of Greenpeace Canada and seven years as a Director of Greenpeace International. As the leader of many campaigns Dr. Moore was a driving force shaping policy and direction for 15 years while Greenpeace became the world's largest environmental activist organization.
In recent years, Dr. Moore has been focused on the promotion of sustainability and consensus building among competing concerns. He founded and chaired the BC Carbon Project, a group that worked to develop a common understanding of climate change. In 2021 Dr. Moore published "Fake Invisible Catastrophes and Threats of Doom" exposing the fake news and fake science around 11 claims of disaster including climate change, coral reefs, polar bears, plastic, nuclear energy, and more.
Microplastics are, quite literally, everywhere. You may think you know this already. But you probably don’t appreciate, not fully, the extent to which microplastics have invaded every corner of the planet and every corner of our bodies. Like I say, they’re everywhere—and I mean everywhere.
I want to tell you more about the nature of the microplastic menace, but also provide you with some easy advice you can follow to protect yourself and your loved ones against it. Although the scale of the problem can seem insurmountable, you can drastically reduce your exposure to plastic, and therefore the amount that will end up in your body, even if you can’t totally eliminate it. And in an imperfect world, that’s about the best we can hope for anyway.
