The two discussed John Solomon’s latest interview with CIA operative Joseph Mifsud’s attorneys.

According to Mr. Mifsud’s attorneys their client was working for the CIA and was NOT a Russian operative as reported by the Mueller witch hunt team of liars.

Maria Bartiromo: We know that there were informants thrown at certain Trump campaign people, like George Papadopoulos. George Papadopoulos was on this show and he told me directly on this show that Mifsud was the guy they wanted him to meet in Italy… That is the individual who told him that Russia has emails on Hillary Clinton. Why is that important, John?

John Solomon: Well, I interviewed Mr. Mifsud’s lawyer the other day, Stefan Rowe, and he told me and also provided me some deposition evidence to both Congress and myself that his client was being directed and long worked with Western intelligence. And he was being directed specifically, he was asked to connect George Papadopoulos to Russia, meaning it was an operation, some form of intelligence operation. That was the lawyer’s own words for this. If that’s the case that means the flash point the started the whole investigation was in fact manufactured from the beginning.

This is a HUGE development. ROBERT MUELLER and his band of angry Democrats lied in their final report on operative Joseph Mifsud. Mifsud was NOT a Russian operative as the Mueller report claimed he was.

As an Army lieutenant general who used to head up the Defense Intelligence Agency and was a top intelligence adviser to Gen. Stanley McChrystal in Iraq and Afghanistan, Mike Flynn has been around the block when it comes to how the U.S. intelligence community operates.

Appointed to the DIA by then-President Obama in 2012, Flynn came into the job vowing to accelerate the agency’s transition into an entity whose analysts and spies worked more closely with field commanders and focused on emerging threats notin Afghanistan and Iraq.

In 2014 he was pushed out by Obama a year ahead of schedule after butting heads with superiors and subordinates over his “management style,” according to The Washington Post. One of those he tussled with was then-Director of National Intelligence and serial liar James Clapper, one of those who helped Obama carry out the “Spygate” operation against POTUS Donald Trump and his incoming administration. Flynn was no fan of Obama and his operatives.

Recall that Flynn was an early casualty of the Trump administration.

This all helps explain why the intelligence community that Flynn once served set him up for a fall shortly after he joined Team Trump in the fall of 2015: He had already been on the outs with those establishment types who ‘ran things;’ throwing his hat into the ring with Trump was the final straw.

With Republicans poised to lose control of investigatory panels in the House of Representatives, President Trump is resurrecting a potentially powerful board capable of intimately reviewing intelligence agency conduct on his direct orders.

The White House announced five appointments to the Presidential Intelligence Advisory Board on Tuesday evening, after selecting a chairman and vice chairwoman earlier this year.

The dormant board created by former President Dwight Eisenhower has no formal powers, but derives significant authority directly from the president, operating as his surrogate to smooth over agency rivalries, investigate misconduct, and evaluate intelligence collection policies.

Experts say Trump could roil the intelligence community by asking his hand-picked panel to draft reports, for example, on alleged surveillance abuses against his 2016 campaign associates, a disputed charge made by Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee, who are poised to lose subpoena powers.

"The board can do whatever the hell the president wants it to do, and really it’s about what the president tasks it with," said University of Notre Dame professor Michael Desch, co-author of the authoritative 2012 history of the board, Privileged and Confidential: The Secret History of the President's Intelligence Advisory Board.

"If you really had an agenda and were willing to pick reliable people that are also people that are smart and knew enough to be dangerous, you could make life miserable for the intelligence agencies through the board," Desch said. "If the president were really a competent political warrior, there would be a way to constitute the board in which it could really serve as a gadfly or a prod to the intelligence community, because it has a lot of access ... if the president were willing to task it in a serious investigative way and then follow up, the board could be quite useful. But I don't see President Trump being that serious and that bureaucratically savvy."

New appointees to the board include Oracle CEO Safra Ada Catz; former Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga.; former White House economic adviser Jeremy Katz; Goldman Sachs managing director and University of Virginia adjunct law professor James Donovan; former CIA and FBI counterterrorism official Kevin E. Hulbert; and a New Jersey resident named David Robertson.

The new members join board chairman Stephen Feinberg, a billionaire hedge fund manager and military contractor appointed by Trump in May, and vice-chairwoman Samantha Ravich, appointed in August. The board historically has had a small staff and office space in the New Executive Office Building near the White House. Members have security clearances and generally meet quarterly.

Desch said the new appointments "look pretty typical" for the board, with a wide variety of professional backgrounds.

Attorney Roel Campos, who served as a member of the board during former President Barack Obama's first term, said he was unfamiliar with new appointees, but that "the board is essentially the tool of the president," with historically wide-ranging influence.

“Each president essentially uses the board to his needs and liking," Campos said. "Bottom line, it all depends on President Trump and how he plans to use the PIAB. ... The board, to have any influence at all, has to have the full support of the president, then the board has tremendous influence and power."

Campos doesn't believe the board is well-suited to investigate Trump's claims of 2016 surveillance abuses, which center on secret surveillance orders against former Trump foreign policy adviser Carter Page, saying it would be outside of the historical norms of the board's work.

"If they are happy to do it, they can issue reports and take positions and they will be measured by the strength of their analysis," he said. "If he wants something to sway public opinion he would have to have a group of people on the surface objective."

But Campos added that the board hasn't always followed the president's wishes. Former President George W. Bush dissolved his board midway through his presidency after members objected to the use of interrogation tactics that critics consider torture, he said.

"Keep in mind, the board essentially stood up to George W. Bush and presumably most of the board were Republicans," Campos said.

Desch, the Notre Dame professor, said one parallel to a hypothetical politically motivated Trump request is the board's work on the "Team B" review of the CIA in the late 1970's. That review found the agency was insufficiently tough in its Soviet analysis, Desch said, giving ammunition to a more hawkish policy later championed by former President Ronald Reagan.

At other points, Desch said, "it can be, like other boards, a beard behind which you hide. In the past it has taken on embarrassing issues like human rights abuses by CIA assets. You want the board on it to say you're doing something."

Steven Aftergood, director of the Project on Government Secrecy at the Federation of American Scientists, that it's unclear how much the board's work has mattered in the past, as much of its doings remain classified, and that its near-term future depends on Trump.

"The question that hovers around the new board is, does the White House really want its advice?" Aftergood said. "Will the president even listen to its recommendations? Or is board membership an honorary position that is otherwise inconsequential?"

Aside from the board, another largely dormant but historically influential intelligence review body is being resurrected with recent Trump nominations to the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, an independent agency that issued public reports on mass-surveillance programs revealed by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden.

A former Democratic member of the PCLOB, University of California at Berkeley professor James Dempsey, said he's pleased Trump is re-establishing his advisory body, and doesn't believe the board would necessarily go along with unconventional orders.

"Looking at their backgrounds, I would assume they will see their mission as supporting the intelligence agencies, not undermining them," Dempsey said.

Newly declassified documents reveal the CIA—which is supposed to be strictly limited in the types of surveillance and other secret operations it conducts on U.S. soil—routinely monitors U.S. government computer systems.

That information is contained in two formerly secret letters of “congressional notification” written in 2014 by the Intelligence Community inspector general at the time, Charles McCullough. In the letters, McCullough reveals the CIA secretly intercepted and collected emails between congressional staff and the CIA’s head of whistleblowing and source protection. The collection was said to occur as part of the CIA’s “routine counterintelligence monitoring of government computer systems.”

Several sources familiar with the congressional notifications at the time, but unable to speak about it until now because the material was classified, said it is extremely worrisome that the CIA intercepted private communications with Senate staff about Intelligence Community whistleblowers.

“Most of these emails concerned pending and developing whistleblower complaints,” wrote McCullough in letters to lead Democrats and Republicans at the time on the House and Senate Intelligence Committees—Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.), Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), and Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-Md.).

McCullough said he was concerned about the CIA’s “potential compromise to whistleblower confidentiality and the consequent ‘chilling effect’ that the present [counterintelligence] monitoring system might have on Intelligence Community whistleblowing.”

The intercepts in question were conducted under the leadership of CIA Director John Brennan and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. Both men dragged their feet, according to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), when he originally sought to have the congressional notifications declassified. A then-staffer of Sen. Grassley was among those whose emails were intercepted by the CIA.

Brennan and Clapper, now working in private industry and as consultants for NBC and CNN respectively, have been widely criticized for a variety of alleged surveillance missteps and abuses.

Both men were involved in controversial 2016 election year “unmaskings”—identifying protected names of Americans “incidentally” captured by government surveillance. Originally, when asked under oath in 2017 about unmasking requests made by any U.S. ambassador, including President Barack Obama’s ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power, Brennan claimed ignorance: “I don’t know. Maybe it’s ringing a vague bell but I’m not—I could not answer with any confidence.” It was later revealed that hundreds of unmasking requests had been made in Power’s name in 2016. Brennan also acknowledged that he requested that U.S. citizens’ names be unmasked on numerous occasions.

As for Clapper, he admitted, during a May 8, 2017, Senate judiciary hearing, to making at least one unmasking request related to “Mr. Trump, his associates, or any member of Congress.” Clapper also acknowledged having personally reviewed unmasked documents and that he might have shared unmasked material with other officials.

Clapper and Brennan have said they respected Americans’ right to privacy and did not violate any rules or laws.

In 2013, Clapper was criticized by Democrats and Republicans after denying under oath that the National Security Agency (NSA) was engaged in mass spying on tens of millions of Americans. Soon after that testimony to Congress, revelations by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden proved the opposite was true. Clapper then argued he hadn’t been intentionally misleading.

In 2014, Brennan apologized to senators on the intelligence committee after it was revealed that the CIA had improperly monitored the computers of committee staff members. Brennan had previously vehemently denied the spying occurred.

The newly public congressional notifications about the CIA’s surveillance of whistleblower information were only released after Grassley appealed to current Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson, who was sworn in on May 17. Brennan and Clapper’s successors, appointed by President Donald Trump had ignored requests to declassify the documents, according to Grassley.

“The fact that the CIA under the Obama administration was reading congressional staff’s emails about Intelligence Community whistleblowers raises serious policy concerns, as well as potential constitutional separation-of-powers issues that must be discussed publicly,” wrote Grassley in a statement.

• The U.K.’s Joint Intelligence Committee was the venue used by the CIA and the DNI to share and receive “intelligence” allegedly linking Trump to Russia.
• The sources believe that John Brennan and James Clapper used highly classified intelligence channels to create a trail of fake evidence linking Trump to Russia.
• George Papadopoulos was targeted deliberately by U.K. intel operatives in a plot to trick him.
• It was Joseph Mifsud, not Papadopoulos, who raised the prospect of meeting with the Russians and introduced the claim that Russia had damaging information about Hillary Clinton.
• Joeseph Mifsud was a British operative, not a Russian asset.
• The only entity that could have coordinated the entire operation was the Obama White House.

Multiple former intelligence officers believe there is indisputable evidence that British Intelligence organizations—GCHQ and MI6 in particular—collaborated with the U.S. intelligence community to portray Donald Trump and his associates as pawns of the Russians.

FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok was fired by the bureau on Monday over a series of controversial anti-Trump text messages which Peter Strzok and his former lover Lisa Page had exchanged during the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

However, the press has failed to report that Strzok was an agent for both the FBI and CIA at the same time.

That’s right, not only was Strzok employed by the FBI until his abrupt public departure from the bureau on Monday, Strzok has been sheep-dipped by the CIA where he currently remains employed to this day. (i.e. Strzok’s termination from the FBI on Monday was nothing more than a dog and pony show as Strzok remains an integral member of the deep state)

As I originally reported in mid-July, a sheep-dipped Peter Strzok worked for both the FBI and CIA at the time.

Both the FBI and CIA have played the American people for fools by not disclosing the fact that Peter Strzok is a double agent of the U.S. government and has been sheep-dipped by the CIA.

The bombshell information published first on BrassBalls.blog reveals that the “joint CIA/FBI position was created by Congress in 1996” which allowed Strzok to hold both posts.

An unclassified document printed on FBI letterhead dated January 20, 2016, which contains the subject line “Supplemental Classification Review and Determination” was addressed to the Bureau of National Security’s Assistant Secretary Gregory B. Starr from Peter Strzok who is listed as “Section Chief” of the “Counterespionage Section” in reference to Strzok’s CIA post. Keep in mind, this is not an FBI post as Strzok’s position at the FBI is “Deputy Assistant Director Counterintelligence Division” not “Section Chief” which is a CIA post.
