It may seem like I've said all there is to say about the flat earth phenomenon, that dumbest hoax on the internet, but we haven't yet examined the conspiracy itself. What would have to be true for this scam to be pulled off? Rather incredibly, without making a single observation or knowing anything about science whatsoever, even just the story of the con itself falls apart quite laughably upon the slightest bit of scrutiny. In this presentation, Dr. Faulkner will briefly describe the history of this phenomenon, examine some of the supposed biblical and physical evidence for a flat earth, and delve into the possible motives of those promoting this idea.
