The Decline Of The US Postal Service: From Reliable Deliveries To Enabling Voter Fraud
The US Postal Service, once a beacon of reliability and dedication, has significantly declined its services in recent years. The motto "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" now seems like a distant memory for many Americans who have experienced the failures of the USPS firsthand. This knock-off from the Greek historian Herodotus could more reasonably now read, "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night shall stay these couriers from collecting lost ballots and credit cards."
My experience with the Postal Service has been nothing short of a nightmare. In the last few months, my wife and I have had credit cards stolen en route within the USPS system, leading to fraudulent charges. The situation has become so dire that we can no longer mail out letters from our condo building, forcing us to hand-deliver essential documents like our rent check. We've had to use a separate UPS box to ensure the safe delivery of crucial items, as we cannot trust the USPS. Most recently, my wife was physically assaulted by our building's postal worker when she asked him how to report these thefts. And guess what? Nothing can be done about it because, as a pseudo-governmental agency, they are protected by Federal law and their union, which pays carriers $130K a year to harass Americans.
Unfortunately, our struggles with the Postal Service are not isolated incidents. The decline in service has had far-reaching consequences, even affecting the integrity of our elections. In the 2020 election and subsequent vote-by-mail efforts, the USPS has been complicit in collecting fraudulent voter registration ballots. Thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of these ballots, have been linked to addresses that don't exist, making their way to non-government organizations that fill them out and submit them as valid votes.
The once-proud institution, the US Postal Service, has become a symbol of inefficiency and corruption. The failures of the USPS not only affect individuals like me, who can no longer rely on the service for basic mail delivery but also threaten the very foundation of our democratic process. It is time for a serious overhaul of the Postal Service to restore its credibility and ensure it upholds its motto of delivering mail reliably, no matter the circumstances. We pray that a Trump '47 administration will clean house and deliver the American people from the tyranny and bondage of this corrupt institution.
