The black woman who went viral after hugging former President Donald Trump at an Atlanta Chick-Fil-A location fired back at “urban media outlets” and other critics Friday morning.

Michaelah Montgomery went viral after video of her hugging Trump at the fast-food location where he ordered milkshakes for customers was posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, by Trump campaign deputy director of communications Margo Martin. Montgomery addressed criticism she has received from critics at “urban media outlets ”for supporting Trump as well as voicing her frustrations with President Joe Biden.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley on Friday characterized Michael Cohen, who is former President Donald Trump’s previous attorney, as a “bottom feeder” witness against him in his upcoming hush money trial.

The charges against Trump stem from an alleged $130,000 payment that Cohen, who pleaded guilty in 2018 to making false statements, tax evasion and other charges, sent to porn star Stormy Daniels to stay silent about an alleged affair with the former president. Trump’s trial will begin on Monday with jury selection and the former president is under a gag order that recently got expanded.

Turley said Cohen is not a trustworthy witness and that the jury may have a negative response to his testimony.

The Constitutional Coalition and former Attorney General John Ashcroft filed an amicus curiae (Friend of the Court) in the United States Supreme Court in the case United States v. Trump.  The appeal to the Supreme Court concerns the question of presidential immunity. More specifically, whether a subsequent president may criminally prosecute his (or her) predecessor, and current political rival, for official acts the previous president took while in office.  This amicus brief was not filed on behalf of either party – Special Counsel Jack Smith (hired by Attorney General Merrick Garland to prosecute former President Trump) nor on behalf of former President Trump.  Rather, this amicus brief was filed to defend the constitutional principle that a President of the United States, as the Nation’s chief executive, must have immunity from criminal prosecution for those official acts the President takes during the President’s term in office.  Otherwise, the President’s fear of a subsequent political rival bringing a criminal prosecution after the President leaves office will impair the President’s ability to make those decisions necessary to protect our national interest and discharge the duties of the office of Chief Executive.

The case against President Trump in New York is based on accounting activities that are not crimes.  They aren’t even adjusting entries. 

At one point in my corporate career, I oversaw the financial reporting of multimillion and billion-dollar blocks of business for a US Fortune 500 corporation.  I also served as an international corporate executive in Hong Kong.  

In Manhattan DA Bragg’s case against President Trump there are no crimes.  Adjusting entries aren’t even required.

The Bragg case is based on accounting activities that the state of New York says are crimes.  As you will see below, these activities are not crimes and they don’t even make sense.

Jon Stewart recently went after Trump on the Daily Show, claiming that Trump overvaluing his property, as the Letitia James case claims, was not a victimless crime. In truth it wasn’t a crime at all, it’s standard operating procedure in real estate deals.

But it turns out that Jon Stewart did the exact same thing with his New York City apartment.

A 2018 letter from Michael Cohen’s lawyers admitting Trump knew nothing about the Stormy Daniels ‘hush money’ transaction re-emerged as the judge set the trial for April 15.

Last year the Daily Mail obtained a 2018 letter from Michael Cohen’s lawyer stating Cohen used his own personal money to pay Porn Star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

The letter also states that the Trump Org nor the Trump campaign reimbursed Michael Cohen for the $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels.

This directly contradicts Cohen’s testimony – not surprising given Michael Cohen is a convicted perjurer.
