Reuters Took $300M From Biden Admin Before Winning Awards for Musk Attacks

HeadlineUSA.com

Did the Biden administration bankroll Reuters to unleash a series of hit pieces against Elon Musk? Shocking connections between the two raise serious concerns.

President Joe Biden’s government awarded $300 million in government contracts to Reuters, which later won a Pulitzer Prize for its reporting on Musk and alleged misconduct at his companies.

Coincidentally, at least 11 Biden-led federal agencies launched investigations into Musk-owned companies, prompting accusations of weaponized oversight. All 11 agencies gave money to Reuters. Notably, Musk is the world’s richest man, a known MAGA supporter and Biden critic.

Biden’s $300 million in federal contracts for Reuters was first exposed by tech expert Mike Benz in a viral X thread that has garnered nearly 10 million views.

Video: NPR CEO Says ‘Truth Is a Distraction From Getting Things Done’

Infowar.com

NPR CEO Katherine Maher said the quiet part out loud, claiming “truth is a distraction” that’s getting in the way of the Democrats’ progressive agenda.

In a resurfaced clip from her 2022 TED Talk delivered when she was the CEO of Wikipedia, Maher claimed, “Our reverence for the truth might have become a distraction that’s getting in the way of finding common ground and getting important things done.”

Media Watchdogs Who Push For Censorship - Part 1 - The Trusted News Initiative

JustTheNews.com

This story is the first in a four-part series this month by Just the News on self-described watchdogs who push for censorship.)

“If we don’t have free speech, then we just don’t have a free country,” President-elect Donald Trump said in a video posted to social media just day after winning reelection on Nov. 5. “Today, I’m announcing my plan to shatter the left-wing censorship regime.”

Not mentioned by name, though alluded to, are the various non-profit and for-profit groups that have sprung up to battle “fake news” but typically target outlets that lean right of center. Those group include the Trusted News Initiative (TNI), Media Matters for America (MMFA), the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) and NewsGuard.

“When I am president, this whole rotten system of censorship and information control will be ripped out of the system at large,” Trump also announced.

With his bold pronouncements in mind, the following is Part 1 of a four-part series – a deep dive into some of the organizations to which he was likely referring. Critics of their work say it leads to censorship and loss of advertising for the media outlets that dare challenge the legacy media’s approved narrative.

Defunding NPR (National Public Radio)

RonPaulInstitute.org

Elon Musk has talked about eliminating at least two trillion dollars of United States government yearly spending. While it would contribute a small portion toward this grand goal, a spending cut that jumps out as among the most obvious for Musk and the incoming Donald Trump administration to pursue is eliminating all US government support for National Public Radio (NPR) and its affiliated programing and radio stations.

The most convincing argument for US government funding of NPR has faded away over the decades since the media organization’s creation in the pre-internet and even quite limited cable television age. Nowadays, there is easy access to news and entertainment sources aplenty at the click of the mouse or remote control. There is no arguable need for Uncle Sam to provide a helping hand to a select media organization.

FCC Commissioner Calls Out NBC’s ‘Blatant’ Violation of Equal Time Rule with Kamala’s SNL Stunt

'With only days before the election, NBC appears to have structured this appearance in a way that evades these requirements...'

Headlineusa.com

A Federal Communications Commissioner suggested that Vice President Kamala Harris’s surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live just days before the Nov. 5 election may have violated federal law.

FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr argued that NBC scheduled Harris’s SNL appearance to evade the Equal Time rule, which mandates balanced airtime for political candidates. With the election scheduled for Tuesday, President Donald Trump cannot get equal time.

“This is a clear and blatant effort to evade the FCC’s Equal Time rule,” Carr wrote on X, responding to an Associated Press article about Harris’s appearance. The campaign kept the appearance a secret until hours before air.

Video: Team Trump Demands 60 Minutes Release Kamala Harris’s Unedited, Full Interview Transcript

UPDATE: Oct. 31 - President Trump Sues CBS News For $10 Billion For Deceptively Editing ’60 Minutes’ Interview with Kamala Harris

Breitbart.com

The Trump campaign called on CBS News’s 60 Minutes to release its full, unedited transcript with Vice President Kamala Harris.

60 Minutes, which aired Harris’s interview Monday night, spliced and diced the conversation, preventing voters from making up their own minds about her answers:

“On Sunday, 60 Minutes teased Kamala’s highly-anticipated sit-down interview with one of her worst word salads to date, which received significant criticism on social media,” Karoline Leavitt, the Trump campaign’s national press secretary,” wrote in a statement. “During the full interview on Monday evening, the word salad was deceptively edited to lessen Kamala’s idiotic response.”

ABC Whistleblower Affidavit Drops and YES, It Really Is a Bombshell if True

TheLibertyDaily.com

Documents are being reported by prominent 𝕏 users as being the rumored ABC News whistleblower affidavit. If they are real and if the information in them is accurate, then this is a legitimate bombshell that will be widely ignored by all of corporate media.

The skeptic in me wants to wait to hear from “official” sources, including Speaker of the House Mike Johnson who is allegedly in contact with the whistleblower. But everything about the document seems to jibe with not only what has been rumored but also what we saw during the ABC News presidential debate last week.

Harris Gets 84% ‘Positive Coverage’ While Avoiding Media - Trump Gets 89% Negative Coverage

Breitbart.com

Television networks have provided Vice President Kamala Harris with 84 percent “positive coverage” since she joined the presidential race, a Media Research Center study found Monday, while they produced 89 percent negative coverage of former President Donald Trump.

From 71 to 84 percent of registered Democrats and independents who voted for President Joe Biden in 2020 are mostly in the dark about many of Harris’s controversial and radical positions. The exact percentage depended on which issue the pollsters asked about, the recent survey showed.

The establishment media mostly failed to report on Harris’s radical record as a U.S. senator, but spent more time speaking about Harris than Trump, the survey also found.

Video: Family-Owned News Outlet Plans To SUE Kamala Harris, Google For Deceptive Ad Tactics: ‘We Feel Insulted’

TrendingPoliticsNews.com

A family-owned news outlet in North Dakota is considering legal action against the Harris campaign and Google over deceptive tactics it claims are abusing news coverage to paint the vice president in a more favorable light.

According to the Daily Caller, WDAY Radio, a news station in Fargo, noticed that a recent headline about Vice President Kamala Harris was edited on Goole Search to make it appear as though the writers were endorsing Harris and parts of her campaign plans. Others quickly noted that similar edits had taken place in the stories of national outlets whose reports appeared in Google search results about Harris, Axios reported. Specifically, it is the campaign’s practice of paying for sponsored ad results that appear at the top of the search engine’s page – with false headlines such as “Harris Will Lower Health Care Costs” by NPR and “Inflation is Down” by Reuters. In the case of WDAY Radio, the owners are incensed that their coverage was rearranged to declare “Harris Picks Tim Walz – 215,000 MN Families Win.”
