That’s $5 billion more than the $406 billion Americans spent in 2022 on all prescription drugs combined.  While the majority of the spending on weight-loss drugs is predicted to occur in the commercial market, and will probably lead to spikes in the cost of insurance premiums, taxpayer Medicare and Medicaid could also be forced to foot a bill of up to $166 billion a year, which is almost as much as the programs’ total expenditure of $175 billion in 2022.

Maricopa County Recorder candidate Justin Heap destroyed incumbent RINO Stephen Richer Wednesday with one question for the audience during a debate at the Palo Verde Republican Women’s Club’s May 15 luncheon.

Heap asked the crowd to “raise your hand if you personally or someone you know received an extra ballot at your house during the last election cycle,” and nearly half the attendees raised their hand!

Heap: The fundamental and most important job of the County Recorder has to be to clean and maintain our voter rolls. And I suspect that, despite what Mr. Richer says, that he is cleaning it, that we are not doing it.

Now let me try to illustrate that. Please raise your hand if you personally or someone you know received an extra ballot at your house during the last election cycle. I’ve done this with hundreds of Republican groups; never fails that half the hands or a third of the hands go up. How does that happen if we are cleaning and maintaining our voter rolls? That is a massive error, and this is the reason that people do not trust the system. We are clearly not doing an effective job as you all just witnessed. I will clean up the voter rolls.

The group called Free Press is leading the charge to restrict free speech online, the Media Research Center reported Tuesday. In a landmark decision, a Bexar County visiting judge has ordered a new election for the 180th District Court seat in Harris County, Texas. This ruling comes after Republican candidate Tami Pierce narrowly lost to Democrat DaSean Jones by a mere 449 votes in the November 2022 election.

DaSean Jones, who was sworn in as a Harris County criminal district court judge 15 months ago and has since presided over hundreds of cases, now faces uncertainty about his 2022 election victory.

Republican Tami Pierce continues to contest the election results in court, asserting that “improper or illegal votes were counted” and that the election was “riddled with errors.”

He should have mentioned his name first when he lectured on current election threats.

Merrick Garland today mentioned the DOJ and FBI’s work to protect elections from national security threats. Garland added, “It includes our National Security Division’s and the FBI’s work to protect our elections from national security threats, including malign foreign influence and cyber-enabled campaigns.”

Judicial Watch announced today that it received 13-pages of records in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from the District of Columbia, explaining to illegal aliens and other noncitizens how they can register to vote in local elections.

 The records came in response to an April 12, 2024, FOIA request for: 

1. Materials presented and/or provided at the training;
2. Communications advertising/promoting the training; and
3. Materials provided to participants/attendees after the training.
