Finally, someone explains the Bresit fiasco so anyone can understand it!
China is building islands in the South China sea and its causing disputes among the other nations in the region; Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, and Indonesia. The US has many allies in the region and uses its massive Navy to patrol international waters, keeping shipping lanes open for trade To truly understand the international conflicts and trends shaping our world you need a big-picture view. Video journalist Sam Ellis uses maps to tell these stories and chart their effects on foreign policy.
A great 12 minute summary of just how deeply China has infiltrated our country, how deeply they have taken control.

This is sick. And barbaric. And it seems that no one in our media is talking about it, so I figure I’d at least mention it.
South Africa’s ruling party wants to amend their constitution so that they can go ahead and start seizing land – mostly from white farm owners. The whole “amend-the-constitution” thing hits close to home, because I hear of people wanting to do that here (in the U.S.) all the time, and it makes my stomach turn.
I suppose it’s convenient for the “ruling class” to be able to take land where they see fit – it’s just not so neat for the white farmers getting their family land taken away from them by force when those (white) landowners refuse a sh*tty offer of one-tenth of what the land is actually worth. And oh yeah – they’re getting murdered in the process:

The most murderous dictatorship in all of human history is assembling a massive battery of U.S. lobbyists and propagandists in and around Washington, D.C., sparking growing concerns across the political spectrum about its intentions and the effect this lobbying Leviathan will have on the federal government. That dictatorship, of course, is the Communist Party regime enslaving mainland China. And among the growing roster of political hacks on its payroll are top former officials including ex-House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner, who played a key role in transferring America's productive capacity to Communist China in the late 1990s. Unsurprisingly, the Clintons and the Bushes are involved, too. But critics are sounding the alarm.
Plenty of foreign governments lobby Congress and the executive branch of government. The “Israel Lobby,” for instance, has developed a reputation as a powerhouse when it comes to swaying the U.S. government's policies. The Turkish and the Saudi lobbies are also reportedly quite significant. Various European governments also spend millions trying to influence Washington D.C. But the regime ruling Communist China is not just any foreign government. In fact, it holds the horrifying distinction of having murdered more people than any other entity in history — and it has global ambitions of planetary domination. And so, even among those accustomed to the sliminess of the D.C. “Swamp,” Beijing's influence-buying schemes are raising alarm.

Stephen Cohen schooled prominent 'Never Trump' neocon and Council on Foreign Relations member Max Boot on CNN's Anderson Cooper this week on the Trump-Putin Helsinki summit and general charges related to 'Russiagate'.
It's worth watching especially as it underscores why recognized academic experts are rarely given airtime on the mainstream networks if their perspective lies outside the accepted media group-think on Russia.
“I‘ve been studying Russia for 45 years,” Professor Stephen Cohen said as the debate got heated. “I‘ve lived in Russia, and I’ve lived here.”
But predictably Boot cut him off, leveling the standard ad hominem that's become the standard fallback retort to any 'contrarian' analysis, saying Cohen has been “consistently an apologist for Russia those 45 years.”
President Trump struck a trade deal Wednesday with the European Union, reaping significant concessions as top EU officials moved to avoid an escalating tariff war with the U.S.
The agreement seeks to eliminate all tariffs and trade barriers and eliminate all subsidies on non-auto industrial goods, which was the deal pushed by Mr. Trump.
“This was a very big day for free and fair trade,” Mr. Trump said in announcing the deal in the Rose Garden with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker by his side.
Mr. Trump called the deal a “new phase” in the U.S.-E.U. relationship.
The deal also included the E.U. importing more U.S. soybeans, lowering industrial tariffs and working on an agreement to import more liquified natural gas (LNG) from America.
“I had the intention to make a deal today and we made a deal today,” said Mr. Juncker.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton bashed President Trump over his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week, but failed to mention she also bonded with Putin in 2012 over Siberian tigers.
In her memoir “Hard Choices,” Clinton explained her meeting with Putin in Moscow, where she asked him what he’s “doing to save the tigers in Siberia.”
“He looked up in surprise. Now I had his attention,” she wrote.
“He took her to his private office.”
Additionally, Clinton recalled several anecdotes Putin told her during their time together, including a personal story about his mother.
“During the war Putin’s father came home from the front lines for a short break,” Clinton wrote.
“When he approached the apartment where he lived with his wife, he saw a pile bodies stacked in the street and men loading them into a waiting flatbed truck. As he drew nearer, he saw a woman’s legs wearing shoes that he recognized as his wife’s. He ran up and demanded his wife’s body.”
“After an argument the man gave in, and Putin’s father took his in his arms and, after examining her, realized she was still alive. He carried her up to their apartment and nursed her back to health. Eight years later, in 1952, their son Vladimir was born.”
Fast-forward 6 years, and you’d think Clinton would have never given Putin the time of day.
“The great mystery is why this president has not spoken up for our country, and we saw this most clearly in this recent meeting with Putin,” Clinton said of Trump on Saturday.
“So this idea that somehow we are not sure where our own president stands is deeply disturbing.”
And as the Helsinki meeting concluded, Clinton accused Trump of being on Russia’s “team” in a smarmy tweet.
Meeting with Russia’s leader is standard diplomatic protocol for a sitting president and for his Cabinet – unless that president is Donald Trump.
